The Flying Car- A Fantasy Soon To Come True!!
Soon, flying in the sky won't be just limited to wizards and witches, now the "muggles" will have their own personal flying car, all thanks to the U.S company Terrafugia Inc, which boasts of producing a flying car which can be driven or flown by anyone.
The flying car which is popularly called the TF-X will be a hybrid of a car, helicopter and plane, which can be driven as well as flown like a personal jet plane. The feature that sets aside this beautiful piece of marvel is that it won't need a runaway to take off and land the vehicle, it will take off vertically from the ground just requiring a clearance of 100 ft. The reason that it will take off so easily is because of the helicopter-like electric-powered rotor blades located on each side. While the TF-X is in the air, the turbine like gas engine located at the rear end of passenger seat will take over to let the machine fly. This feature is looked upon as making the flying car a success which was absent in the company's previous venture- The Transition, which is a plane that can be driven on the road. Well, unless you have a runaway at your home, the Transition is pretty much useless for you.
If you are not a pilot and are probably wondering how to fly this vehicle then its least of your worries, as once this machine is in the air it switches to autopilot mode and will do the major part of flying for you.The autopilot will also be responsible for landing it on the road and just to be on the safe side- the machine also has a parachute for "just in case" events. Any landing problems within 500 miles of range and this parachute will automatically open up in the mid air to ensure a safe landing.
The company boasts that a genuine or a good driver would require no more than 5 hours to safely operate the TF-X. Though not a specific date has been assigned to the launch of TF-X, but it is expected to be around the early 2020's.

Iranian Scientist Claims to Have Built "Time Machine".
An Iranian business mind seems to have brought the much yearned and dreamt of equipment- A time machine, into real time. Ali Razeghi, scientist from Tehran claims to have triumphed over time by building a machine that enables a user to fast track up to eight years in the future. He calls it “The Aryayek Time Travelling Machine” as the machine is registered with the Center for Strategic Inventions run Iran, by this name.
Twenty seven years of age, Razaeghi claims that the machine uses a number of complex algorithms and predicts the future up to 5 (five) to 8 (eight) years with an accuracy of 98 percent. The machine apparently takes readings from the touch of hand and prints it accordingly.
Ali is the managing director of the state’s Center for Strategic Inventions who had been working on this machine for ten years. The brilliant man already has 179 inventions in his name.
The machine is claimed to fit into a PC case and is meant to bring the future to the user. The most vital benefit of this device is that the government of Iran has the capability of predicting a military confrontation or even forecasting rise and fall of the currencies. The new device will also be able to predict the oil prices.

IBM Bags Guinness By Using Atoms As Pixels In The World’s Shortest Stop Motion Movie
A stop motion movie named “A Boy and His Atom” created by IBM is the kind of sensation an invention creates.This movie, as acknowledged by Guinness as the world’s shortest stop motion film, is apparently made by using pixels derived from individual molecules.
The movie may not go to the Oscars but the kind of science that is involved in creating such a picture is deeply invigorating as well as startling. The movie is centered on a boy called Atom who makes friends with an atom. The movie is a depiction of the duo’s playful journey. The scenes involve movements like jumping on a trampoline, dancing and playing catch.
Two tunneling microscopes were used to move the molecules by IBM. These microscopes are gigantic machines weighing up to two (2) tons. They operate at a temperate of minus 268 degrees Celsius. These tunneling microscopes magnify atoms by 100 million times that are placed on a surface made of copper. The making of the movie involved moving 5,000 carbon monoxide molecules by the machine. The team of this project rendered an image each time the molecules were in the right frame. A total of 242 frames were generated in this manner. The shooting took 18-hour shifts of the team over a span of 10 days in order to get each frame perfect.
A standard computer is responsible for operating the machine while a super sharp needle that can feel atoms is used to manipulate atoms. The needle makes use of electric current to physically be a magnet for atoms and molecules thereby putting them in the right position. This procedure is known to make what is called an “atomic short” or a scratchy sound that makes the researchers know as to how far the particles have journeyed.
One may ask as to why such a sound is a necessity. That is because it is not possible to film atoms when they are in motion. Hence, the sound is a parameter for researchers to gauge if the atom has moved to the slot where it was intended to be placed. The noise results from the change of current when the atom is pushed between couple of binding surfaces thereby acting as an aural guide.
Moore’s law has been exploited by the researchers that rests on a premise that atoms can be used to enhance computation as well as storage of data. Benefiting from the same scientific strategy, world’s smallest magnetic bit has also been created by the team. It has been built using 12 atoms in order to provide storage of one bit of magnetic information. This differs from the modern electronic device wherein a million atoms are needed to store a bit of information.
Principal investigator of IBM Research Andreas Heinrich believes in long term engineering solutions and also that data storage needs to get smaller down to the atomic level.

Finding Hard To Recall Your Dreams? Now Simply Record Them!
Wouldn’t it be nice if someone could record your dreams, your fantasies and superb ideas that strike your sub-conscious mind? Your wish would soon be fulfilled. According to a new research, we can now record our dreams and thoughts that come in our sub-conscious mind. Scientists believe that development in this technology would allow us to read others’ thoughts too.
Three (3) researchers from university of California, Berkeley participated in this experiment. They entered a functional MRI (Magnetic Resource Imaging) system. These three subjects were made to watch two different Hollywood movies trailers while the machine recorded their blood flow through the brain’s visual cortex, the part of the brain that process visual information.
The readings of the machine were fed as input to a computer program which converted these readings into three-dimensional volumetric pixels called voxels. The brain signals generated by moving pictures are decoded by this process. In this experiment, a computer program was made that learnt the association of brain activity with the visual patterns in the movie while the subjects watched the first set of clips. Then the other set of clips tested the movie reconstruction algorithm.This computer program was made to analyze 18 million seconds of random YouTube videos. Thus a huge database was created for the potential brain activity. From this huge database, the computer program selected the one hundred clips that were almost similar to the ones watched by the subjects.
This computer program mimics our brain. When we see a yellow flower, our brain tries to match this yellow color with the different shades of yellow color available in our memory. Similarly this computer program compares the brain reactions with the huge database of 18- million-second videos and picks up the clips that are most similar to the brain reactions. These clips are then merged into a video. This new video is almost similar to the original video clip that the subjects watched. Thus, bigger the database of videos repositories and higher the computing power, the better would be the results.
This experiment is being considered as a major break-through in the history of computer science and biology. The neuroscientist Jack Gallant rightly stated “We are opening a window into the movies in our minds." Scientists are also speculating that in coming decades, we would even be able to read each other’s minds.
